How You Think: HoloThink Review

Published by userama at 5:50 pm under Uncategorized

With the monumental steps forward related to brain science in the last decade, researchers now understand that our mental and physical health are affected by certain sound frequencies.  The science of how sound waves affect the brain is known as “neurotechnology,” “entrainment,” and “Binaural Effect,” and it is being used for everything from diagnosing illnesses to fighting phobias, anxiety and panic disorder.  An audio program based on these premises, you can get better by only listening.  That bears repeating – you only have to listen.

Spa Music Expands
Brainwaves constitute the electrical activity that is constantly occurring in this amazing organ, and you have probably heard of subliminal messages that you cannot hear, but that your brain absorbs anyway.  This is not just some Twilight Zone hocus-pocus.  Medical tests known as “EEGs” are really ELECTROencephalography, what does that tell you?  Hospitals are beginning to incorporate more whole-body or holistic approaches into helping their patients recover from surgeries, trauma, and illnesses, and we are seeing an increase in the use of audio-therapy in step-down units.  In particular, rehabilitation facilities are using relaxation audio during therapy.

Today, scientists and medical professionals have taken this to the next level by building sound tables that have built-in speakers.

Instead of having an anesthesiologist inject a patient with cortisone, steroids, or other intravenous medication, the chronic pain sufferer now has the option of simply lying on a table and listening to specialized sound frequencies mixed with soothing music, which not only has a healing effect, but permits the patient to tune in to his or her own special frequency.  (This is a huge breakthrough for people who don’t like needles.)

In one study of how music affects the brain, the Cleveland Clinic and the Cleveland Orchestra teamed up in August 2008, to enhance the understanding of this science.  Some of us cry during the opera, which is a prime example of how profoundly music can affect us, which is a great incentive to apply the science to helping people overcome anxiety and panic disorder using certain frequencies and music.  That is precisely what HoloThink does.

The HoloThink Program
Sixty-minutes of audio is the core of HoloThink, which imparts tranquility just by listening.  You’ll find this easy to listen to even if you prefer country to rap, rock and roll to the blues, or if you don’t much care for spa or classical music.  Try it for yourself for free, if you don’t believe it – there is a ten-minute free audio file available that will make you feel refreshed.  The HoloThink audio files can be downloaded immediately, and they work immediately.  This is a versatile treatment option – you can listen at home or in your car, or can give yourself a quick attitude adjustment at work by slipping on your headphones for ten minutes or so.

This, to me, was a bold claim, so I tried it before investing the small purchase price of .00, by downloading the ten-minute trial.  It reminded me a lot of the very soothing and tranquil music played during massage and spa treatments that I’ve had.  If just ten minutes could make me so relaxed, I was quite eager to reap the benefits of a full hour.  The website likens the experience to a “mental bath” and that seems fairly accurate; it is very refreshing.

It’s interesting that while your brain works to synchronize the left and right input of the sounds on the audio file, it makes you hear things that are not really on the file, but are coming from inside your own brain.  Rolling thunder and waves crashing are not part of the audio, but you may be able to hear them (I did), which only reinforces what a strong influence sound has on our brains.

The Benefits
In your efforts to treat and/or cure your generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder or phobia, you should consider using HoloThink, even though it doesn’t claim to cure any of that.  Maybe you have set aside time every day to work on breath control and relaxation exercises, and if so, incorporating this program into that time makes a whole lot of sense.  The tranquility achieved through these audio files is truly inspiring and amazing.

The program recommends that you listen for between twenty and thirty minutes every day, and as stated above, this can be done in conjunction with relaxation and breathing exercises, to complete your individual de-stressing program.  A complete relaxation experience can include a warm bath, candles or soft lighting and the HoloThink track.

This audio program can also be used to ward off anxiety and panic attacks when carried on your iPOD, iPhone, MP3, or other transportable music device.  If you can avoid a thirty-minute panic or anxiety attack by listening to this program for just ten minutes, what would you do?  The best thing about it is that you can do it anywhere – all you need is a device that will play the music and headphones on which to listen to it.  This can become a part of your work-day routine if you plug in and listen at lunchtime in order to reduce the stress that you may feel halfway through the day.  It only takes that much for you to be able to return to your work station ready to face the rest of the day being refreshed and reenergized.

If you can hear, then you can benefit from HoloThink.  For the price, it cannot be beat – it is equivalent to the cost of two fast-food meals, which are bad for you anyway.  Incorporating this program into your personalized plan for fighting panic and anxiety is practically a no-brainer.
